During December 2015, Storm Desmond battered the Lake District and caused widespread flooding which particularly affected Kendal. Corgin were involved in subsequent remedial work for United Utilities at Kendal Wastewater Treatment Works and wanted to make a donation to persons in the area who had suffered particular hardship.

Following a recommendation from United Utilities, Corgin are very pleased to have provided a charitable donation to Horticare, a community-based day service for people with learning disabilities run by Cumbria County Council’s Cumbria Care Team. Horticare are based adjacent to the treatment works and use social and therapeutic horticulture to provide service users with therapy, education and personal development.
