This involves a thorough service of the control panel, including, but not limited to, checking filter cartridges and replacing as necessary, adjusting pressures as necessary, checking the timer operation, the dosing pump setting and the solenoid operation, all in view of optimising the system performance. We will also do a visual inspection of the atomisers and pipework, to ensure all is functioning correctly. Powered access equipment is not normally required for an Intermediate Service and therefore is not included. This service excludes the compressor (see Item 9 below). Service visits are normally carried out by one engineer (unless otherwise agreed, eg. for H&S reasons) and will be followed by a detailed report.
A full service includes all of 1 above, along with the replacement of all accessible atomisers with pre-serviced atomisers, adjusting them if/as required in order to optimise their individual spray performance. The atomisers removed will be taken off site and stripped down, cleaned, lubricated, reassembled with replacement ‘O’-rings if necessary, and tested in controlled conditions. They will then be kept in our bank of pre-serviced atomisers for use in future services.
An ‘Emergency Callout’ is invoked in the event of a disabling system failure or malfunction caused by a design fault or ‘fair wear and tear’ of the system components. We aim to have an engineer attend within 24-48 hours. Emergency Callouts due to other causes (e.g. contaminated water supply, lack of maintenance, negligence, fire, flood, frost, vandalism or any other cause not attributable to Corgin) will be chargeable.
Corgin systems are designed according to the HSE's HSG274 part 3 document with respect to the prevention of Legionella contamination, therefore Legionella risk is considered low. However, it is recommended to have your system tested at least every 6 months, especially if it has been inoperative for any period of time. On each occasion we will purge and disinfect the system, taking water samples both before and after. Both samples will undergo laboratory tests and a subsequent report will be issued on receipt of the test results; this is usually within 2-4 weeks. Please note, you are required to assess your site-specific risks and if more frequent testing is required, this can be quoted extra on request.
This includes a purge and disinfection of the system, followed by an additional water sample taken for laboratory testing. A report showing the laboratory test results will typically be issued within 2-4 weeks.
These are exclusively the ‘fair wear and tear’ components (i.e. filters, ‘o’-rings, seals, etc.), the replacement of which forms part of any routine system service. If a service visit reveals the need for replacement of any more major system components (and unless your subscription includes item 7) then you will be advised, quoted and charged accordingly (if falling outside of the initial warranty period).
This option means that you are covered for replacement of all system parts and components, with the exception of the control panel enclosures, as may become necessary over time due either to a fault or due to fair wear and tear. If it is proven that parts or components have been damaged or caused to fail due to other causes (e.g. contaminated water supply, negligence, fire, flood, frost, vandalism or any other cause not attributable to Corgin) then these will be chargeable extra at competitive rates.
This is provided as standard with any CarePlan subscription. A member of our friendly Customer Care Team will keep in touch by telephone and email, to monitor neutraliser usage and your level of satisfaction with the system’s general performance.
If your system has a compressor, then this will require servicing in addition to the servicing of the system control hardware. Servicing of the compressor should be carried out by a qualified compressor service engineer in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations. If you would like Corgin to carry out this servicing as part of your CarePlan subscription, then please select this option. Your compressor will typically require servicing every 2500 operating hours. Should compressor usage exceed 2500 hours in any one year, we reserve the right to charge additional servicing costs calculated according to the extra usage.
Subscription prices are based on all site attendances being during ‘normal business hours’ (defined as 08:00-17:00, Mon-Fri). However incorporating this option into your subscription will give you the additional flexibility of requesting full service visits to be carried out during the night, during weekends or public holidays, if the nature of your site operations requires this.
Where shown as an inclusion, we will cover the cost of hire of any powered access equipment as may be required for Full Service visits only. In our experience it is unlikely for powered access equipment to be required for Intermediate Service or Emergency Callout visits, however if this were to be the case we could quote and arrange accordingly at the time.
