Corgin were proud to host the Severn Trent Operations Challenge for the second year, bringing together teams from across Severn Trent and the wider wastewater sector for a day built around practical skills, operational excellence, collaboration and best practice. 

The event provided a brilliant opportunity to celebrate the people behind essential wastewater operations, while creating space for teams, colleagues, industry peers and supporting companies to come together, share ideas and build relationships. 

Throughout the day, teams competed across four practical challenge activities, each designed to test a different area of wastewater knowledge and site-based capability. From safety procedures and confined space response, through to pump lifting, laboratory testing and process control, the challenges reflected the technical skill, teamwork and problem-solving required to keep wastewater treatment operations running safely and effectively.

Alongside the competition itself, the event also provided a valuable platform for networking and knowledge sharing. Bringing people together from across the sector creates opportunities to discuss common challenges, explore new ideas, learn from one another and strengthen the partnerships that help drive progress across wastewater operations.

For Corgin, the event is also a reflection of our growing partnership with Severn Trent. We are proud to support the wastewater sector with practical solutions, responsive service and technical expertise that help operators maintain performance, protect compliance and respond to site challenges with confidence.

It was fantastic to see such strong engagement throughout the day, from the teams taking part in the challenges to the guests, exhibitors and partners who helped make the event such a success. The energy, professionalism and enthusiasm on display were a real credit to everyone involved.
