With the UK experiencing the driest spring in 132 years and a lack of significant rainfall, Rake Brook reservoir saw a alarming drop in the water level. When a reservoir's water level drops, this also reduces the oxygen levels in the water, putting aquatic life at risk, and increasing the chances of a fish kill.
United Utilities were proactive in mitigating these risks and contacted Corgin to install four Spiral Aerators to provide oxygen and mixing in the reservoir.
